Some people read about the world. I’ve always needed to go and see it for myself. I believe the right story, told at the right moment, can change how someone sees things, not because it argues a point, but because it makes them feel something.
That belief has taken me into places most people don’t go: operating theatres in India, refugee camps in Eastern Europe, underground at CERN, food security programmes in Rwanda, forests in Norway. Over the years I’ve interviewed everyone from country leaders and heart surgeons to humanitarians, C-suite executives and music icons.
To me, the most powerful stories move you, and leave you understanding something about how our world works. Or fails. Or is in need of fixing.
