Keep Sea Blue is a Greek initiative raising awareness of plastic pollution in the Mediterranean. A key part of its work is tracking the journey of plastics recovered from the sea, using blockchain technology to record each each items’ journey as its collected, sorted and recycled into packaging that will most likely end up in European supermarkets.

We followed the path of plastic plucked from the sea by teams of volunteers to the recycling plant, and further afield to the centres where it’s remade into new packaging.
